Hunger is not just a Third World problem

Hunger dose not discrimate. Young and elderly, black and white, male and female... the many faces of hunger are different, but the pain and the need are the same.

For thousands in our comunity, hunger is one of life's daily realities. No one should ever go hungry. But hunger exist in our community, and the need continues to grow

A Basic human need

Food is one of the most basic human needs, yet many don't know where their next meal is coming from. They are children, the eldery, the disabled, the unemployed and the working poor in our community -- even in our own neighborhood.

Why are people hungry?

People are hungry because they don't make enough money to cover basic living costs. The hight cost of housing, health care, childcare and fuel make it difficult for low-income individuals and families to have enough money to pay for food
