What is IBE?
The Integrative Business Experience (IBE) is offered at
the University of Central Missouri through the Harmon
College of Business. The class block consists of four classes (Management of
Organizations, Management of Information Systems, Marketing Policies) and a
practicum where students are divided up into companies. Students research a
product and present a business plan to a bank to ask for a loan to get their
business started. Throughout the semester the students are not only selling
a product to donate the proceeds to a charity of their choice but also
providing service to a charitable organization in the community.
