IBE

The University of Central Missouri is one of a handful of universities to offer the Integrative Business Experience.  The class is an interactive class that offers students the opportunity to get real business experience in a class room setting.  The class is comprised of three classes: Management Information Systems (CIS 3630), Principles of Organization and Management (MGT 3315) and Marketing Policy (MKT 3405).  It is also comprised of a practicum hour where each company holds their meetings.  Within IBE students create a company and develop a product to sell.  Also during the semester students in their companies do service hours and a sustainable project for a local charity.  Towards the end of the semester when all sales are final the company then donates all profit to the charity of their choice.  The goal of IBE is to give students real life experience and insight into how a company works from acquiring a loan to developing a product and selling it.
