My experiences in IBE...

What is IBE?

The Integrative Business Experience (IBE) is offered to business majors

at the University of Central Missouri through the Harmon College of

Business Administration. It offers four courses:  Management

Information Systems,  Management of Organizations, Marketing policy,

and an IBE Practicum course. It incorporates a hands-on approach to

what it’s like in a real world business setting.  Students are separated

into companies in which they choose a product, market it, and sell

it.   Each company chooses a charity of their choice and all proceeds

from the sale of their product goes to their charity.  Not only are profits

donated, but their time is donated as well.  The students arrange times

every week to go to their selected charities and help in whatever way

possible.
