What is IBE? |
|
The mission of the Integrative Business Experience is to enable students to develop a clear understanding of the business world through first hand experience. The Integrative Business Experience (IBE) is a unique opportunity that requires students to pioneer an unconventional path and learn some of the benefits and drawbacks of the workforce each of them will soon enter. Upon graduation, traditional undergraduate business students may find they lack the experience to hit the ground running, and furthermore, their studies may have narrowed the scope of their business knowledge to the point where seeing the “big picture” of business is often a struggle. IBE is an ingenious program to provide a solution to the shortcomings of the conventional business education. Since January of 2004, the Harmon College of Business has offered students at the University of Central Missouri the chance to build the groundwork for their business careers with an intensive, hands-on foundation which translates long after the formal education is finished.
