Integrative Business Experience

The Integrative Business Experience, IBE, is a twelve credit hour block.  Class is for four hours every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  During the first three hours, Computer Information Systems, Principles of Organization and Management, and Marketing Policy are taught by teachers.  The fourth hour is the practicum period, which is completely run by students.  The IBE class is separated into three companies of about thirty students.  The company is also separated into teams of about five or six students.  The team you are placed in is who you work most closely with during the first teacher taught part of the class.  During the practicum part of the class, each company goes into a room and discusses the business components of the company.  The company is responsible for creating a product, marketing, and selling for a profit.  It is like running a small business.  Each company must also choose a service project to donate their profit to.
