What is IBE?
IBE (Integrative Business
Experience) consists of four major classes; Marketing,
Management, and Computer Information Systems. This class meets
three times a week for four hours. In IBE the students are split
into companies. In these companies we develop a product that
interests us and has a connection to the school. We then find a
company to develop our product, and ship our product if needed.
We also have to market our product to try to sell it. As a
company we choose a charity to donate all of our profit that we
make after our expenses. We also do community service for that
charity. How do we get the money you ask? As a company we create
a loan presentation to present to a local bank in Warrensburg.
We ask for a specific amount for a loan, that we estimate by
figuring how much all of our expenses would be to create the
product. After presenting our loan presentation to the bankers,
they decide whether or not they will give us the loan, which of
course we pay back. After that we sell our product as much as we
can and hope that we make a great profit to donate to our
charity. |
