The IBE program was actually set up so that college students can start, run, and close out real business operations.  The company, consisting of your fellow classmates, meets on their own and makes important business decisions.  First a product must be selected.  Our company chose to create an umbrella.  Then, we had to go out and find the best supplier to fulfill our needs.  This program teaches people to work with one another in a business environment.  One of our biggest threats to our company was time, or should I say lack there of. After we found out how much our product was going to cost us, we actually had to ask for a bank loan and present information to the bankers about why we deserved the loan.  Baskically, IBE creates a real working business and leaves the students to run it and either make it a success, or run it into the ground.
