What is IBE?

Where do the Money go?

Integrative Business Experience (IBE) is four classes that meets three times a week at the University of Central Missouri. Management, CIS, Marketing class, and an IBE practicum. The general idea of IBE is to get students to have a hands on experience with the real business world. We all get place in a company at random by the advisors as if we were in the business world. Then once in company we beginning by brainstorming what product we would like to sell.  Within these companies, students have to come up with a product, which ours were a timeline poster and apply for a loan, sell the product, and pay back the loan. There is a time limit though! Students have to have all this done within one semester. At the end of that semester the students have to do a final presentation on how much was mad and the whole experience.

Well, during the decision process we had to decide on a community service to do and to donate our proceeds. This give the company a since of donating and volunteering. Our decision was the volunteer and give the money to Habitat for Humanity. This experience give us the opportunity to give back and to see our proceeds at work.
