What is IBE?

IBE is an integrated business experience that is offered here at University of Central Missouri. IBE consists of 4 classes that meet 12 hours a week. The classes within IBE are Management, CIS (Computer Information Systems), Marketing and IBE practicum. The main idea of IBE is for students to have a hands-on experience of a real business, and the business world. The IBE practicum part is the hands on experience. The class is split up into three companies, company 1, 2 and 3 which later have to come up with their own company name, come up with a product, find a supplier, apply for a loan, sell the product, and pay back the loan. All of this must be done within 16 weeks with no exceptions. Besides selling their product the students have to give back to the community by giving all profits to a charity of their choice and contribute with community service.
