       IBE

The University of Central Missouri's IBE'S Program

The Integrative Business Experience (IBE) is a cluster of four (4) classes that meet three times a week (MWF). The classes included are: Management of Organizations (MGT 3315), Marketing Policy (MKT 3405), Management Information Systems (CIS 3630), and The Integrated Business Experience Practicum (MGT 3385). IBE's main target is to allow college students to have a real life hands on experience working within a company, gaining leadership skills, enhancing communication abilities, and designating time to a service project. So the process is: Students come up with a product and a service project within their designated companies, present a loan presentation to get funding for their product, sell their product, pay back the loan, and give the profits to the service project they chose.

What the IBE Profits are for:

All of the the profits that IBE companies receive are given to a selected organization (a service project), that each company chooses at the beginning of the semester.  IBE students also have to perform service hours with a organization throughout the semester.
